Project Overview
The Springbok Store in Sandton was designed to celebrate South African heritage and appeal to sports fans. Our goal was to create a lighting scheme that reflects an “Old School” vibe — warm, inviting, and nostalgic — while enhancing the retail experience.

Challenge
The client wanted a space that feels welcoming and memorable, with lighting that complements the store’s theme without overpowering the merchandise or the customer experience.

Our Approach
To achieve this, we carefully selected a combination of recessed lighting, strip lighting, and track lighting:

• Recessed Lighting: Provides ambient illumination with a subtle, warm tone.

• Strip Lighting: Highlights product displays and key areas of the store.

• Track Lighting: Offers flexibility for accenting specific merchandise and creating dynamic focal points.

All fixtures were chosen to produce a low-level, warm colour temperature, reinforcing the store’s “Old School” aesthetic while maintaining practical visibility for shoppers.
